Other details:
There are two kinds of CO2 Welding Wires. One is the solid carbon-steel welding wire. This variety is used with carbon dioxide or more specifically with 25 percent of carbon dioxide and 75 percent argon. Carbon dioxide is used for coating the welding wires because the gas gives a much deeper penetration of materials when welding them. It is majorly used indoor where there is no or minimal wind and widely used in the manufacturing and the fabrication industry. This kind of welding wire can weld the materials that are thinner, or more specifically those whose thickness is 22 gauges.
The other type of CO2 Welding Wires is the Carbon-Steel welding wire. This is also called Flux cored welding wire. This kind of wire is special because here no shielding gas is required to protect it from atmospheric particles. It is very good for functioning in outdoors where the wind is strong and for welding rusty and dirty materials. In other words, it is a very heavy-duty welding wire and is much hotter than solid wires and tends to weld the materials of thickness of 18 gauges and beyond.
Most of these CO2 Welding Wires in the industry is used in the Metal Inert Gas welding process (MIG). It is far more advantageous than other processes as it is easier to operate and use. In this process of welding the GMAW torch creates an arc or welding material in between the material to be welded and the torch surface.
This wire is used for automotive body building, fabrication components, etc. The offered wire is suitable for gas metal arc welding of mild and carbon steels. This CO2 MIG welding wire is available in various ranges from 0.5mm to 2mm in thickness.
